Michael Brown joins the Qnext Board Advisory Team and Brings Significant Insight on Applying Cybersecurity & Zero Trust Remote Access to Public Sector
PrZen/33344587
TORONTO - PrZen -- Qnext® today announced that Mike Brown, a leading cybersecurity expert and retired Rear Admiral, United States Navy, has joined the advisory board of Qnext to advise them on the vital cybersecurity sectors of major integrators, corporations and public sector data operations. Brown's last position on active duty was as the Director, Cybersecurity Coordination for DHS where he was responsible for increasing inter-departmental collaboration in strategic planning for the Nation's cybersecurity, mutual support for cybersecurity capabilities development and synchronization of current operational cybersecurity mission activities for the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security.
Brown is former President of RSA Federal LLC and Vice President/General Manager Global Public Sector of RSA Security LLC a consulting business focused on understanding risks associated with cybersecurity. His responsibilities also included RSA Information Technology, Security and Enterprise Risk Management portfolios. Mike is the Founder and President of Spinnaker Security LLC, a cybersecurity consulting business focused on understanding, identifying and mitigating business risks associated with cybersecurity.
FileFlex™ Enterprise uses a zero-trust architecture to provide secure remote data access and collaboration to a hybrid-IT infrastructure of on-premises and cloud-hosted storage, and puts it under IT control. "FileFlex is the right technology for DoD and the rest of government's applications. As we move to a zero-trust architecture with increased remote operations and a need for decreased operational risk, FileFlex is critical for this successful implementation," said Brown.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology has given DoD and government organizations a new policy standard that really enhances security. FileFlex Enterprise offers a ground-up system architecture that follows the Zero Trust guidelines rigorously.
"We are thrilled to have Mike Brown join our strategic advisory team," said Anthony DeCristofaro, president and CEO of Qnext. "Mike will help us to route FileFlex to major organizations as part of an integrated cybersecurity strategy that brings advanced security to remote data access and collaboration and enables high-growth remote workforces on a local and global scale, yet maintains a comprehensive zero-trust, end-to-end encryption approach."
