The Importance of a Routine: Offered by iKid Academy

CENTENNIAL, Colo. - PrZen -- At iKid Academy, the curriculum and schedule must implement a routine. However, you might wonder why routine is so vital in early childhood. Today, let us look at the reasons and benefits of routine in education. Secondly, let us find ways to keep children in a routine during the holidays!

Benefits of Routines:

• Promotes healthy social-emotional expansion
• Self-regulation skills
• Supports the ability to identify emotions and feelings
• Builds on structure
• Creates positive habits

One great way to maintain routines when taking a break from school is to keep a bedtime schedule. While it is okay to extend bedtimes occasionally, it can be challenging for children to adapt if their bedtime is consistently changing, so if you are taking a break with your child, attempt to keep some routines (at home) similar or with few adjustments.
