NuNorm Announces Stop Soldier Suicide as This Year's EQUAL Grant Recipient
PrZen/33568560
Through community voting, Stop Soldier Suicide has been selected as the EQUAL Project's 2025 Grant Winner. Their program delivers innovative, evidence-based care, serving 1,400+ veterans with over 15,000 clinical hours. 'We are honored to pledge 2% of NuNorm's annual sales to further their vital mental health support for veterans and their families,' says Jeff Lau, Founder.
DETROIT - PrZen -- NuNorm, a pioneering brand in men's makeup and mental health advocacy, is proud to announce that Stop Soldier Suicide has been selected as the recipient of this year's EQUAL Grant. This grant, awarded annually through The EQUAL Project—NuNorm's non-profit initiative—supports organizations making a profound impact on mental health and self-care.
Recognizing Stop Soldier Suicide's Vital Work
Stop Soldier Suicide is a national nonprofit dedicated to reducing military suicide and creating a future where veterans and service members are at no greater risk for suicide than any other American. Since 2023, their flagship ROGER Wellness Program has served over 1,400 veterans and service members, delivering more than 15,000 clinical hours of support.
Notably, 73% of clients experienced a decrease in suicidal thoughts, and 92% reported improved mental well-being. Additionally, 46% of those who remained in the program for more than 30 days said it helped prevent a suicide attempt. These groundbreaking results are achieved through innovative, evidence-based care such as Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) and Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention (BCBT-SP).
About The EQUAL Grant
The EQUAL Project exemplifies NuNorm's dedication to redefining self-care by integrating mental and emotional well-being into its mission. Funded by 2% of NuNorm's sales, the grant empowers organizations breaking barriers in mental health advocacy and support.
"At NuNorm, we believe self-care goes beyond skin deep. It's about fostering a healthier relationship with oneself and the world," said Jeff Lau. "Stop Soldier Suicide embodies the transformative impact we strive to achieve through The EQUAL Project, and we're thrilled to support their incredible work."
The selection of the EQUAL Grant recipient is driven by the community. Each year, NuNorm opens up a month-long period for feedback and voting, where the public can voice their support for their preferred organizations. At the end of the voting period, the organization with the most votes is chosen to receive the grant. This process ensures that the decision is guided by the collective input of the community. This year, Stop Soldier Suicide emerged as the winner of The EQUAL Grant Selection Process.
NuNorm invites everyone to explore the inspiring work of Stop Soldier Suicide. Together, we can redefine self-care and make a lasting impact on mental health for communities worldwide.
