Josh Copeland on Mission to Rebrand the Men's Mental Health Crisis
PrZen/33394571
The speaker, coach, and former college athlete helps others redefine masculinity and mental health.
PrZen -- Josh Copeland is on a mission to change the conversation around mental health, masculinity, and asking for help.
In the United States alone, 1 out of 5 individuals has a mental illness, including six million men. These conditions are common, and illnesses including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and eating disorders frequently go undiagnosed in men, since men are more hesitant to reach out and ask for help.
Depression and suicide are two of the leading causes of male deaths worldwide, yet men are the most reluctant group to ask for help.
Josh Copeland is on a mission to change the conversation and save lives.
Josh works with leaders who struggle with inner happiness and peace. He shares his own story of tragic loss and triumphant success to help others identify the root of their issues and to create action plans.
His story is one of success, failure, and perseverance. It is one that will make you laugh, cry, and, most importantly, look inside yourself to find the determination to be the best person you can be.
He has gone from being a Division-1 athlete to someone who battled depression and alcoholism. He went from jobless, having only $0.33 in the bank account, to running a successful business.
Now he is sharing his story to inspire and encourage his audience. His "COPE" method is used in groups all over the country to help athletes, business leaders, and men to redefine their lives and pursue a life of meaning and fulfillment.
Josh is the founder of Learning 2 Cope, an organization committed to helping men and women with topics including:
-Dealing with Your Mental Health
-Transitioning to Life After Sports
-Financial Literacy
-Building Your Brand
-The Importance of Putting Yourself First
