Emeritus Addresses Hospital Bed Shortages with Smart Storage Solutions
PrZen/33598467
New initiative focuses on real-time visibility and better inventory practices to improve bed availability and patient flow.
RICHARDSON, Texas - PrZen -- In response to growing concerns about bed shortages and care delays, Emeritus has introduced a new suite of smart storage and inventory optimisation services designed to help hospitals improve bed availability without purchasing more equipment.
While many facilities invest in additional beds to meet patient demand, research shows the issue often lies not in quantity, but in visibility. Beds are commonly misplaced, stored off-site, or caught in maintenance cycles without real-time tracking, creating artificial shortages that impact admissions and throughput.
"Most hospitals already have the beds they need," said a spokesperson for Emeritus. "They just don't know where they are or how to get them ready in time."
Emeritus addresses this problem through:
The smart storage program is part of Emeritus' broader mission to streamline hospital operations and improve the use of capital assets. With tailored support and detailed reporting, hospitals gain the tools to make data-driven decisions about equipment use and storage planning.
"In today's environment, hospitals can't afford to let critical equipment sit idle," the spokesperson added. "We help them turn underutilised storage into a strategic asset."
