CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Dec. 11, 2018 - PrZen -- Traveling with children can be challenging at best.  As a result, many couples stop traveling after they have children, or they limit their travel to places near their home or visiting family.  One couple decided not to let having a two-year-old keep them from traveling the world.

AJ Ratani and Natasha Sandhir spent eight-and-a-half months traveling to 31 countries with their two-year-old.  Along the way, they learned a lot about traveling with children, which they are now sharing in their new blog: The 2 Idiots Travel Blog.  Natasha says, "I am really excited for the launch of our blog and to share all our learnings with parents. We hope to inspire people to travel and spend time together as a family!"

Some of the places AJ and Natasha traveled with their son include: Peru, Galapagos, Iceland, Spain, Australia, China, Japan, India, and Botswana.  The blog will cover topics of interest to couples who are interested in traveling with their children.  Some of the topics include:
  • Traveling on a plane, train etc. with a child without losing your mind.
  • The best gear you'll need to travel with children and travel packing tips.
  • Managing sleep and jet lag.
  • Our philosophy around using technology and devices with children.
  • Managing foods while traveling with your picky eater.
  • Traveling with a newly potty-trained child.
AJ and Natasha say they wouldn't trade their experiences for the world and believe that other couples shouldn't put off traveling until their children are older.  The pair say their experiences were enhanced by having their son with them, not hindered, and that the memories they have with their son are worth any challenges they faced along the way.  AJ says, "Traveling with kids isn't easy but totally worth it! Our goal with the blog is to be authentic and show the fun and challenging realities of traveling with children."

AJ and Natasha

After spending several years climbing the corporate ladder, AJ Ratani made the decision to leave his high-profile position at a fast-growing company, to embark upon a new road in his career. First, though, he wanted to take a sabbatical, to clear his head and spend some time with his wife, Natasha, and their son, Aarav.  Once he got Natasha on board, the two of them decided to make this fantasy a reality. They spent nine months traveling to 31 countries with their son, who was two at the time.
