Central Florida Philanthropist Jamar Hébert Releases Latest Book, "The Only Black Man In The Room" to Foster Greater Unity and Understanding Among Readers of All Backgrounds
Gainesville, Florida, February 25, 2022 – Jamar Hébert, Gainesville-based author, philanthropist, business leader, and CEO of J. Hébert Companies, has announced the release of his second book, "The Only Black In The Room", written with the aim of promoting understanding, unity, and healing among readers of all backgrounds.
Jamar shares his personal perspective on his journey climbing the leadership ranks across a range of Fortune 500 companies, often finding himself with few African-American peers. Drawing on insights from history and examples of other trail-blazing leaders, Jamar shares his personal perspective on navigating urgent issues of race and reconciliation in modern society and advice for other professionals making their work in the modern workplace.
Featuring a foreword by Thomas Dortch, National Chairman of the 100 Black Men of America, "The Only Black Man In The Room" will help readers achieve a deeper understanding of the behaviors of high achievers who have risen to the top of their professions without sacrificing their personal identities, as well as strategies to continue developing and building welcoming workplaces for diverse teams.
"The Only Black Man In The Room" will be officially released on Juneteenth 2022, June 19, 2022 and pre-sales will begin Friday, February 25th.
