Vendors recognized in the report are interesting, new and innovative

RESTON, Va. - PrZen -- careMESH today announced it has been named as one of the May 2020 Cool Vendors in Healthcare Interoperability by Gartner, Inc. The report states that "data is the lifeblood of the healthcare industry, and the emerging FHIR standard promises streamlined data exchange among ecosystem partners — yet interoperability at scale remains elusive. These Cool Vendors offer CIOs innovative approaches and accelerators to achieve interoperability goals1."

According to Gartner, "the COVID-19 pandemic underscores the need for interoperable data to inform urgent response efforts across ecosystem partners including providers, agencies, payers and community service organizations. It also highlights the slow progress the industry has made in interoperability, even in areas as comparatively simple as integrated provider directories1."

careMESH offers a unique approach to improving interoperability, by embedding its National Provider Directory within a customer's Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform. The company then deploys its secure Delivery Manager to guarantee the timely, digital sharing of patient event notifications, referrals, and other transitions of care to any designated recipient—even if the receiving clinician or practice has not subscribed to the service. Customers significantly improve real-time data exchange with external healthcare providers, better coordinate care, reduce the cost and burden of directory maintenance, and deliver Patient Event Notifications and electronic referrals that meet both the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' Interoperability and Patient Access Final Rule (CMS-9115-F) and Promoting Interoperability measures.

"Our services are in stark contrast to the industry's historical approach of relying on EHR vendors and other large collaboratives to address the interoperability gaps that limit the movement of patient data between care teams," said Dr. Peter S. Tippett, Founder and CEO of careMESH. "We consider our recognition as a Cool Vendor by Gartner to be confirmation of how market requirements are rapidly changing, and that our ability to guarantee digital delivery of patient health information to any US-based clinician and healthcare organization is central to that evolution."
