This Valentine's Day, the last novel written by the United Kingdom's most prolific author of romantic fiction, Barbara Cartland, will finally be published.

HOUSTON & BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Feb. 13, 2018 - PrZen -- When she died at her Hertfordshire home 18 years ago, the 'Queen of Romance' left 160 unpublished manuscripts. For the past 14 years, Barbara Cartland's son, Ian McCorquodale, has been publishing them as ebooks entitled The Pink Collection, once a month. On 14 February he will publish the final ebook in the collection, Love Finds the Duke at Last.

The Eternal Collection

Ian is also republishing the remainder of his mother's 723 books. He is part way through a 13 year mission to release all her books as The Barbara Cartland Eternal Collection, publishing two titles every month. So far there are 187 available, with 328 to go!

Romantic renaissance

When she died at her Hertfordshire home 18 years ago, the Queen of Romance left 160 unpublished manuscripts. Thanks to a resurgence in romantic fiction, Cartland has gained millions of new fans around the globe, particularly in the United States.

Ian attributes the revival of interest in his mother's book to the current trend of mainstream romantic fiction that has become increasingly like soft porn. "I feel that pure romance is timeless and offers young people a chance to learn love and respect in their life, and in new relationships. The power of love is more important in everyone's life than anything else, especially in the threatening and dangerous world of today. Every Valentine's Day is a Barbara Cartland anniversary as it celebrates pure love and romance."
